2007 HONDA FIT SPORT TIME ATTACK RACER

Home: Welcome

FIT4TRACK

More than just your average Honda Fit!

My 2007 Honda Fit Sport was one of the first to get a k20 swap, and was used by multiple companies to prototype parts for the Honda Fit Market.  Hasport Performance used this very Fit to prototype its K20 swap mounts and Axles.  Progress Technology used it to prototype their coilover suspension and swaybar upgrades.  Fastbrakes used it to prototype their ITR front brake setup and rear disc brake conversion.  Hondata took care of the harness and wiring for the engine and other components including the dual ECU setup allowing the KPro to control the engine and the stock ECU to control the gauges, A/C, electric power steering, drive by wire, etc.  Over the years other track day participants have grown accustom to Civic and Integra track cars being quick on track, but now they tend to be no big surprise.  I was looking for something new to turn heads on the track and make people think, what is that, and the Fit definitely fits the bill.

~~~UPDATE~~~
During the most recent hurricane, tragedy struck.  A large tree overlooking my driveway was blown down, falling across 2 of my Honda Fits, the Time Attack car seen here, as well as my daily driver.  The house was also involved, but damage was minimal to the house.  The 2007 Fit however is a different story.  At first the damage doesnt seem too bad, but the structure areas affected are very costly to repair properly.  Luckily the car was still insured and damage has been covered, but car was totaled.  I drive the car on the street to most events, so it needs to be tagged, so with that in mind I started searching for a new shell, and after many discussions with people in the know, I decided to move to a 2nd generation 2009-2013 chassis Fit.  I found a 2009 for a great deal and it was OEM Blaze Orange Metallic, and picked it up with the plan to build the new car.  The new car is really clean though, low miles for the year, great condition, etc.  Things have shifted a little and it will become the new daily driver and my 2012 Fit that I have been driving daily and already has some bumps and bruises will become the new track weapon.
Over the years many changes have been made and each year the car has evolved into more of a track competitor, and continues to prove my motto, all cars are capable of being race cars.
